HANDS to the Needy is a community project of Asians to the World Inc., an organization founded by a group of individuals who, through their respective organizations, were helping the needy in Osceola and Orange counties. They combined efforts in 2002 to incorporate as a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization. Since then, Asians to the World Inc have been one of the non-profits serving the needy with food, clothing, toiletries, toys, and skills training.
Asians to the World's mission is to: Work Together with Partners, to train and empower individuals throughout the world in order to help improve their quality of life and become self-sustaining while integrating a redemptive and faith-based lifestyle.
The goal is achieved by providing services that will facilitate the stakeholder's access to the various means designed to maximize their potential and resources to benefit themselves and their families and gear towards productivity in their own people group and communities.
Asians to the World received a Bronze Seal of Transparency from Guidestar, a non-profit organization whose mission is to revolutionize philanthropy by providing information that advances transparency, enables users to make better decisions, and encourages charitable giving.
In 2019, the office of Asians to the World in Kissimmee was moved to Orlando, Florida and rebranded the program – one that is innovative, engaging, and mission-implicit in design: A Holistic Access & Network for Development & Sustainability (HANDS) to the Needy.
